About me
I am passionate about heritage projects that have purpose, those which can make a real difference to communities and individuals.
I enjoy helping organisations connect their heritage stories and places with their audiences, finding themes and messages that have purpose, taking inspiration from past and place to help make a better future people and communities.
I started my career in museums and built heritage but my passion for nature has led to me working on natural heritage and landscape projects.
I am a mentor and expert advisor for the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and have been involved in over 35 NLHF-funded projects from large-scale national projects to smaller community-based organisations.
I am frequently commissioned to support projects through their Activity Planning and funding applications, audience engagement and in the development of heritage learning programmes and resources
My decades working across a wide range of sites and projects have given me a depth of understanding and reference that informs the insight I bring to new work; giving context to new projects helps to enrich and improve their reach and level of impact and success.
I know what quality is, I was involved in the development of the Inspiring Learning for All framework and have developed best practice guidance for the cultural sector in working with schools, older learners, early years.
